Man of the Year Award
Congressman Donald Norcross represents New Jersey’s First Congressional District. Congressman Norcross previously served in both the New Jersey General Assembly and State Senate where he developed strong ties to the Jewish community and in 2012 Congressman Norcross traveled to Israel with Rabbi Avi Richler and a delegation of State legislators in support of Israel and the Jewish people. He also sponsored a bill honoring the life achievements of the Lubavitcher Rebbe. It is for his outspoken support of Israel and the Jewish people that Congressman Norcross is being recognized as the "Man of the Year".

Chessed Award
Since their introduction to Chabad of Gloucester County in 2012, Dr. Richard and Gail Saferstein have been outspoken champions of Chabad’s mission and purpose. Dr. Saferstein has gotten involved with planning Chabad’s new building. Wanting to express their full investment in the project, the Safersteins have sponsored and dedicated what will be the new “Saferstein Memorial Sanctuary”. It is for their tireless efforts that Richard and Gail are being honored with this year’s Chessed award.

Volunteer of the Year Award
In 2010 Mr. Steven Roth discovered that there was a Chabad center in his town - Mullica Hill. Thinking he was the only Jew in town Steve decided to check it out and immediately fell in love with Chabad. Steve has since become a pillar of the community and will drop everything to help another person. He also will do anything to ensure that Chabad continues to grow and thrive He has volunteered countless hours to answer the call to help at every time and it is for his dedication that he is being honored with the Volunteer of the Year Award.
